Area Sales Representative – Toowoomba QLD

If so, Challenge Implements Holdings Pty Ltd wants you to join our dynamic team as an Area Sales Rep, based in Toowoomba QLD and responsible for Northern NSW, QLD and WA.

Challenge Implements is Australia’s largest manufacturer of front-end loaders, farming implements, and industrial attachments. We are continuing to grow and have supplied farmers around Australia for over 65 years.

We Are Looking For

As a key team player, you will ensure that Challenge Implements products, including loader attachments, loader kits, three-point linkage attachments and excavator, skid steer and telehandler attachments, are effectively communicated and strategically positioned within your region.

Your role is crucial in maximising sales and supporting market development initiatives for new markets, and includes but is not limited to:

  • Growing client base and sales across all product lines.
  • Actively engaging with key accounts and supporting the sales force (frequent travel).
  • Ensuring sales activities are conducted ethically and legally.
  • Overseeing local demonstration and attending relevant Field Days/Training Events (some weekend attendance).
  • Providing Challenge Implements dealerships, and their end-user (customers) with essential marketing, technical, and product information.
  • Managing reporting/forecasting and liaising with market players to gauge trends and requirements.
  • Supporting the market development and repositioning of products.
  • Recommending advertising and promotional plans within the territory.
  • Organizing regional marketing/technical training meetings.

Your Key Skills

  • 5+ years account management experience with a track record in delivering sales success.
  • Proven experience in building customer relationships, both internal and external and negotiating to deliver results.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of sales strategies and customer specific plans.
  • In-depth knowledge of the agriculture and/or the industrial industry.
  • Proven ability to influence and gain commitment.
  • Excellent oral, written, and listening skills.
  • Well-developed organisational and planning skills.
  • A keen interest in expanding your knowledge of the agriculture/industrial markets.
  • Experience with CRM systems and the Microsoft suite of products.

Please note: This role requires a willingness to travel frequently within the Northern NSW, QLD, and WA regions, and occasionally beyond. Some weekend work will be required for attendance at Field Days and Training Events. Time In Lieu (TIL) is provided.
