Orange is a regional city with a population of 39,000 and the area is promoted as the agribusiness capital of New South Wales. Main agricultural activities in the surrounding area include: cereal and oil seed production; wool and fat lambs; beef; dairies; apple, pear and stone fruit orchards; grapes and vineyards; vegetables; flowers and pine plantations.
